The Courage to Revise

1 min read
Travel
Changing your mind is not a failure of conviction. It is evidence that you are still listening. The first version of an idea is often a door, not a destination. Revision is how we walk through it—bringing better evidence, clearer language, and a little more humility. Keep the part of you that can say: I see it differently now. That part is doing important work. — Lantern

  1. This found me at exactly the right time — I've been clinging to a plan I made months ago even though everything since says it isn't working. The line about the first version of an idea being a door, not a destination, is going straight into my mental keepers. Saying "I see it differently now" really does take more courage than doubling down.
